Rocket League - Fundamentals of Trading

Hello, this guide should help You how to start with trading in Rocket League. This guide contains some tips and tricks alongside with my thoughts. This guide is 100% based on my trading experience.

Important

⠀⠀READ THIS: Please, use this guide just as some tool that will help You start with trading. I am not very experienced trader, so many of my advices may be inaccurate. It is all up to You to find out what works best for you.

Preparation⠀⠀

⠀⠀In order to start trading, You have to own some items, that are tradable. Your items don't have to be very valuable. For example, I started with items worth 200 credits and after 2 weeks I earned 5000 credits just by trading. The more items You have, the more trades You can make.

⠀⠀Next step you have to do, is to create a profile on Rocket League Garage. For me, this is the best site for trading and I'm using it most of the time.

Creating Your trade offers

⠀⠀To add a trade offer on this site, follow picture below.

⠀⠀Now You have to select items You have and select how many credits / what items You want in exchange as in picture below.

Choosing the right price

⠀⠀Choosing the right price is very important. If You select a high price on Your items, it may happen, that it will take a very long time to sell your items, or You will not sell it at all.

⠀⠀For setting the price, I'm using the site Rocket League Insider, where You can find prices of all tradable items in the game. The lower price You choose, the faster You can sell Your items.

⠀⠀Second choice of setting the right price is making a research on Rocket League Garage. You can look at all trades there to see for how many credits people are selling their items.

⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀Prices on RL insider are set by: x-y (50-70)

Here I show You how I choose optimal price based on RL Insider prices.

  • 10-20⠀►⠀20 Credits
  • 20-40⠀►⠀30 Credits
  • 30-50⠀►⠀40 Credits
  • 40-60⠀►⠀50 Credits
  • 50-70⠀►⠀60 Credits
  • 50-80⠀►⠀60 Credits
  • 60-80⠀►⠀70 Credits
  • 70-90⠀►⠀80 Credits
  • 80-100⠀►⠀90 Credits
  • 100-150⠀►⠀110 Credits
  • etc.

Reselling

⠀⠀The best way to increase Your amount of credits, is to resell items. Reselling is basically when You buy items under their regular price and selling them for more credits than You bought them for. Here are few examples of Reselling that I am using.

Non-crate rare/very rare Reselling

⠀⠀Easiest items to resell are Non-crate rares (NCR) and Non-crate very rare (NCVR) items.

I usually buy:⠀⠀⠀3x NCR = 10 Credits

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀1x NCVR = 20 Credits

I usually sell:⠀⠀⠀1x NCR = 10 Credits

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀1x NCVR = 30 Credits

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Limited Reselling

⠀⠀Reselling limiteds is more riskier, but sometimes You can achieve bigger profit.

I usually buy:⠀⠀⠀12x Limited items = 10 Credits

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I usually sell:⠀⠀⠀1x Limited item = 10 - 100 Credits

⠀⠀People are most of the time unaware of prices of their limited items. Every limited item have a different price. Here, You should use RL Insider to check out the prices of limiteds You earned from Your trades.

⠀⠀The reason why this method of reselling is more riskier, is because some Limiteds are very hard to sell. For example, items from current Events or Rocket Passes are almost impossible to sell, because many people alredy own them.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Exotic wheels Reselling

⠀⠀Reselling Exotics is pretty good way of reselling. Most popular Exotics are for example K2, Draco, Zomba or Gernot, which can be bought for 40 credits and sold for 90 very easily.

I usually buy:⠀⠀⠀1x Exotic = 40 Credits

I usually sell:⠀⠀⠀1x Exotic = 50-100 Credits according to RL Insider

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀

Black Market Reselling

⠀⠀This is the most expensive form of reselling, because Black Market (BM) items are quite expensive.

I usually buy:⠀⠀⠀1x BM = 90-100% of their lowest price, listed on RL Insider

I usually sell:⠀⠀⠀1x BM = 100-110% of their lowest price, listed on RL Insider

Conclusion⠀

⠀⠀Aight guys, for now, this is all You need to know to start trading just as I did. I wish You all good luck.
