Check out the tips below and you can make all the difference! Windows 10/11 TWEAKS⚙️ In this section of the guide, we will tune some Windows 10 or 11 settings that will optimize your game’s performance and help with FPS drops Update Your Windows to Latest Build 1) Open Search and type “Check For Updates”. 2) Click on Check for Updates and this should take you to the windows updates section. 3) If there are updates available then download and install them. Enable Game Mode Game Mode is a feature of Windows 10 - 12. It’s designed to enhance gaming by optimizing the system’s resources to favor your game. This results in visible performance gains across the board 1) Go To Start and type “Game Mode” 2) Click on the first result to enter the gaming section of settings. 3) Here, enable “Game Mode”, and that’s it. Set CSGO to “High Priority” While the game is running, do the following: 1) Open task manager. 2) Click on CSGO and select “Go to Details”. 3) Here, you’ll see the main process that’s running CSGO. Simply right-click on it and set its priority to “High”. This will allow your PC to prioritize CSGO’s performance and reduce system resources towards other background processes. Enable Ultimate Performance Enabling this feature requires certain steps. 1) Go to Start and type “Windows PowerShell.” 2) Open the first result With Administrator Privileges. 3) Copy and paste this code into Windows PowerShell. “powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02 -d5df -448d -aa00 -03f14749eb61” 4) After you have entered the code, click “Start” again and type “Edit Power Plan.” Once you enabled it, you will see a significant difference in CSGO FPS and Windows responsiveness in general. Disable Unnceasry Animations We all want a smooth performance in CSGO, you must disable these unnecessary “exotic animations.” Doing this will not only ensure that the CPU is less burdened but also the memory. Your PC and games will become much more responsive and fast. To do this, simply follow the instructions below: 1) Open Start and search & open “View Advanced System Settings”. 2) Head over to the settings tab under Performance and In Visual Effects Select Custom. 3) Disable the rest of the options, and only enable “Show Thumbnails Instead of Icons” and “Smooth 4)Edges of Screen Fonts”Unnceasry Animations After Applying the changes, you will already notice something different and better. FOR FURTHER MORE TUNING I ADVISE WATCHING PANJNO ON YOUTUBE Best Nvidia Settings for CSGO The settings I recommend are very balanced and will get you High FPS with great visuals to spot enemies. Just make sure your Nvidia drivers are updated to the latest version. You can check out the latest version here or open GeForce Experience and click on “Check For Updates” Set the Nvidia program settings for CSGO as follows: 1) Image Sharpening can be set according to your preference. Try setting it on 50 and change it as per requirement. 2) Set Anisotropic filtering to OFF 3) Turn Ambient Occlusion OFF 4) Set Antialiasing FXAA to OFF 5) Put Antialiasing Gamma Correction to ON 6) Turn Antialiasing Mode to OFF 7) CUDA – GPUs to ALL 8) Turn DSR Factors Off 9) Put Low Latency Mode to OFF 10) Set Max Frame Rate to OFF to uncap FPS 11) Monitor Technology is an optional option. If your monitor supports G-Sync then choose it otherwise OFF 12) Turn Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA) OFF 13) Put your main GPU in the OpenGL Rendering GPU option. 14) Set Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance 15) Prefered Refresh Rate (Your Monitor) – Select the highest available value 16) Put Shader Cache On 17) Turn ON Texture Filtering Anisotropic Sample Optimization 18) Set Texture Filtering Negative LOD Bias to Allow 19) Turn Texture Filtering Quality to High Performance 20) Enable Texture Filtering as Trilinear Optimization 21) Set Threaded Optimization to On 22) Turn OFF Triple Buffering 23) Turn Vertical Sync (VSYNC) OFF 24) Put Virtual Reality pre-rendered Frames to 1 Best CSGO Video Settings The best performance is locked behind some of the CSGO video settings that can give you a boost in FPS. Higher FPS generally means a smoother and responsive game that provides an edge over your opponents in-game Advanced settings 1) Set the Global Shadow Quality to LOW. Note that this won’t affect the enemy models but only reduce the shadow textures to give you a bump in performance. 2) The Model/Texture Detail should be bumped to HIGH, as it will display objects in the game, including players, more clearly. 3) Texture Streaming should be DISABLED to avoid any extra processing in the background. 4) Effect Details can be set from MEDIUM to HIGH depending on your PC. 5) Shader Details have a significant effect on your FPS but very little in visual effects in-game. Put it to LOW for best performance. 6) DISABLE Boost Player Contrast if you have a low-end PC. 7) Multicore Rending should be ENABLED since it helps the game run at a higher framerate. 8) Multisample Anti-Aliasing Mode is a very taxing setting on FPS. It should be switched to NONE at all times to avoid taking a major hit on frames. 9) FXAA Anti-Aliasing Mode is a relatively light AA mode that doesn’t really tax your FPS that much. 10) You can choose to turn it on to reduce some jagged edges on objects. Otherwise, turning it off can provide a slight bump in performance. 11) Texture Filtering Mode improves the clarity of textures and it can be set according to your hardware’s power. If you have a Low-End PC, you can choose TRILINEAR, otherwise, we recommend going for 8X or 16X. 12) DISABLE Wait for the Vertical Sync Option to uncap your FPS Best Launch Options for CSGO !!!READ!!! Using a launch option without understanding what it does may cause unwanted problems. For the best experience, why not try my best picks of launch options for CSGO +fps_max 0 -high -novid -freq 75 -nojoy -threads 4 +mat_queue_mode 2 1) +fps_max 0 – This removes the frame limiter, and lets you have as many frames as your GPU is capable of producing. 2) -high – This will set CPU priority to High and allow CSGO to get the most performance out of your system. 3) -novid – The novid command will skip the Valve Introduction Screen, which takes too much time. 4) -freq 144 – The Freq is also the Refresh Rate Value. Therefore, enter the max refresh rate of your Monitor. 5) -nojoy – Nojoy will remove the Joystick Controller Support, and will free a lot of Memory and CPU Usage. 6) -threads 4 – It’ll ensure your max threads are being allocated to the game. Enter the correct number of threads in the value. 7) is now 8 8) +mat_queue_mode 2 – Very Important, this changes the meta by forcing CSGO to run at Multi-Threaded Mode.
