Psychological approach for playing ELDEN RING

Psychological approach for disbelievers By SombreroRondO Hey you! Yes you! You don't believe in yourself? You don't want to see beautiful things because of fear? You think FromSoft is a group of sadists? Fear not! I'm an idiot and I completed this game! What is sufficient? Welcome in Elden Ring brave soldier. Tarnished. Let me guide you to happy ending. First rule is that death cost you nothing. Nothing! The only thing you lose is money. If you own money. So be a shopaholic, buy everything you can, everything you want, lose nothing. Be like billionaire's wife. Second rule is to immerse yourself. Sometimes it's painful, this game demands concentration, it's not a woodchopper simulator. If you'll run straight in this game not looking you'll die. But in this game slow progression is very rewarding. Every place that's not an empty terrain square has some emotional value in the Lands Between. Just look, it's not a fun experience to play this game with guide all the time. Last rule, that will make you an Elden Lord, is curiosity. That's why you shouldn't depend on walkthroughs, checking map online before finding it, walking in straight line from castle to castle. This game has much more to show you than winning fights. Believe me, that reaching big boss in 5 hours rushing and struggling with this boss for another 2+ hours is worser than leearning whole region in 20+ hours, beating 10+ bosses, smiling and admiring at least a few times and afterwards beating big boss in less than 10 attempts. I think this one is sexy actually. What to do, if you think you can't? This is my late game build. These swords are given every warrior for free (default weapons). I've beaten with them (not using magic, not using guides, not using weapon abilities, not using ranged weapons, not using any weapon buffs) Radahn, Godrick, Margit, Godskin Apostle, Mohg, Morgott, Rennalla... I didn't beat Malenia, but she's optional. What's important is that I use 2 weapons. They are light (3 kg) which means they attack fast (high dps) and when you wield two same weapons, they attack simultaneously. Pure damage. But it's just an example, weapons can have bleeding effect, which after a few (4-8?) consecutive strikes takes around 500% of base weapon damage, not to mention 10 other possible effects. I didn't know it at first, it wasn't so hard that I wanted to have better weapons. But enough of this "Big size" philosophy. Killing fast is good in grind games my friend. In this game your biggest enemy is instant death, being vulnerable, being easy target. So if it's not a game about killing overflowing hordes of zombies with machinegun, then perhaps weapons aren't even important? That's right. Defense, dodging, invisibility (possible with some necklace), breaking stances. You need to minimize danger and this game gives you thousands of possibilities. Everything can be useful, every chest can give you a "gamechanger". But I won every fight with rolling, It's beautiful when you dodge an attack by a few pixels and endorphines make each such dodge feel better. Generally health isn't as helpful as good armor. Best healing flasks heal 800+ hp, so if you have 1600 hp (perhaps 55 vit?, lots of) and get hit 1200 damage you'll need 2 flasks to be safe. Healing takes time btw. Instead try to get every resistance as high as possible, but remember to have "average" armor weight (70% or less of your weight cap) so you'll dodge fast enough for every enemy I know. Finally, if you can use Torrent in boss fights, use it. If you use two weapons, wear your stronger in upper hand slot (right) and heal Torrent with your flasks. I've beaten Tree Sentinel jumping on Torrent around him (almost no healing), most dragon fights are easy horseback, because you can flank any dragon easily and just cut from one side to another. Most shielded minibosses around are very easy prey for horseback fighting. Finally, in many boss fights spirits are deciding. Not only ours :D. General rule is that, if you have a very powerful build go for mimic spirit. It can be found in Nokron, after you beat Radahn (most difficult fight for lower levels). It'll simply double your damage and make fights even faster. But earlier and even after you find Mimic, but aren't OP, use spirits as tanks. The more hp and defense they have - the better. I recommend five ?halflings? spirit for 69 energy, 5 shieldbearers from Nokron for 74 energy and finally one brave Jellyfish from Castle Mourne (almost sure) - immune to ground AoE attacks and poisons opponent. One does not simply walk into Erd Tree? This game is fun. And I don't think my playthrough was very intelligent. Those simple moments of pure stupidity were most memorable and funny. Small things were deciding for me, that I didn't really care about Radahn, Malekith, Godskin, Crucible Knight and many other awful, aggresive monsters. Yes, I died much more times outside boss battles. But when you get out of forest full of mourning clothed human parody with "hole of disgust" face and reach a village of happily dancing young girls, which don't attack you and just laughs with joy, when you reach capital and first enemy you see is a snowman parody attacking you with bubbles, when you enter a coffin and wake up in totally different place, when you attack wall and it disappears, when you avoid dozens of opponents on Torrent with "0 fu*ks given" - you feel happy. I won't tell you how to play this game. I've heard everyone run around with same sword, I didn't play online even once so it's just a rumor. I won't tell you, that you need to finish this game. I won't tell you that this game is hard or easy. It's not important. But know one thing. Your first playthrough can be magical, beautiful, entertaining and best. Simply.
