Apex Legends - Extensive Tips you should know

"Small" Tips for Apex By Volkgang A small(ish?) guide from someone who has been with Apex since the beginning! This guide is tailored for novices who want to learn to get started. It'll cover general gameplay, weapon tips, and character tips. I hope this guide helps! Will be updated with the game. 🥃Introduction Oi, finally have decided to join the Apex Games? Good. Here a few pointers you should know about the games, or you won't leave a champion. You live as a squad, you die as a squad. You killed them, you were better. They killed you, they were better. To be better, here are some few pointers to help. Now go, read. I'll see you in the Ring. 🏃Movement 1) You move faster when your weapon is holstered. 2) Never stand still, else you'll die quickly. In a fight, especially close quarters, keep sliding around your opponent. 3) Position matters more than how kitted out your guns are. Obey the commands of the great Obi-Wan, HAVE THE HIGH GROUND! 4) There are three modes of moving, walking, running, and crouching. Crouching makes no noise at all, while running is easy to hear. Why am I telling you this? Because walking is viable! It's not terribly loud and don't feel the need to crouch everywhere if you think there's enemies are around. When there's any particular fighting going on, walking or running is highly optimal. ________________________________________________________________ 5) You can hang unto ledges via climbing them, then stopping at the top. You can also wall-kick! Just press space while climbing for a split second. This video explains it better than I can. While the hanging isn't super useful, the wallkick is a great thing to know. ⚔️Combat Aim for the shoulders, not the center of the head directly. You'll land more headshots more reliably as people move. Of course there is a ~1.25 damage multiplier if you hit a headshot. Helmets reduce this multiplier. ________________________________________________________________ Holding E/use key on a downed enemy will trigger a finisher. You get a sweet animation of your character taking out the foe. However you are left vulnerable during this, and will end up getting you killed if done too early. Why do them? Doing a finisher will replenish all shields! So time them wisely, and they can save you. ________________________________________________________________ 8) Tap Crouch mid firefight for an advantage. It makes your hitbox smaller, so if they are aiming for your head, you get a split second of them missing shots. Just hit crouch for about a second to throw them off. It's not a slide, just make yourself smaller. Your aim is improved while crouching. It can really help, I can attest to that. If you can aim and slide, even better. ⬇️Dropping Congratulations! You just joined a game, but you suddenly gained the job of jumpmaster. What is it? It means you'll be leading the squad down from the dropship. Here are some tips on how to correctly do it. If you don't want to lead, you don't have to Hold C is pass the job to another teammate. This is good if you're not confident and watch how others do it. However, then do not complain if your drop sucked, because you had the chance to make it better. ________________________________________________________________ First tip : Start dropping at these two distances. The farthest you should ever attempt should be 700 meters. Any farther and you won't make it. The optimal time is 500 meters. If you used the Imperial System of measurement(USA), then just look at the numbers. ________________________________________________________________ Second tip : Try to keep your speed above 140. You can see your speed on the left of you when you drop. The higher the better, obviously. If 700 meters or more, follow this infographic. Do not go in the straight line. Instead, go almost straight down, then forward. Gain your speed past 140, the drop. You will get an increase of speed to about 150. Then go straight. Use up your speed, as now it's decreasing. Once your speed is back at 140, go straight down again. This is faster.
Third tip : Don't land with your team, then you will all steal from each other. This kills me....alot. So when you start approaching the drop zone, hold C to separate. Drop near, but not the same building. 🔫Weapons There's a lot of information for the guns in Apex. Let's start with the ammo types. Types of ammo have different small effects. for example Light Ammo high fire rate with fast travel speed Energy Ammo has the fastest travel rate and lowest bullet drop. Heavy Ammo is the slowest obviously and has the greatest drop. Sniper Ammo has an penetrating perk. it shoots through players but not walls. Shotgun ammo is not effective at 40 meters because it's a shotgun. What did you expect. All of the weapons have the same rule: 1) Have a magazine that can kill and then some. 2) Shots have a gradually bigger hitbox the longer it travels. 3) All types of ammo slow down whomever they hit for a short time period. 🔶SMGs Prowler (Heavy Ammo SMG) :This SMG shoots a fast 5 round burst; a balance between single shot and full auto. > Use it for peeking enemies when they are around. >hipfire is an excellent option for close combat. Select-fire turns this gun full auto. The burst actually has a higher DPS, while the auto is more consistent. Use Burst if you think you can aim, while Auto for longer ranges. ________________________________________________________________ R-99 (Light Ammo SMG): a gun that packs a punch with its blazingly high fire-rate and hip-fire. although having low Damage per Bullet. it is best used in short-range engagements. >Make sure to keep track of your shots. Continued firing can quickly deplete your ammo. ________________________________________________________________ Volt (Energy ammo SMG): an energy actuated gun that is great for its long-range capabilities. > ADS is where this gun shines. Hipfire is possible but is limited. > Easiest SMG to use. If you are new to the game, this is a prime weapon to get. >has vertical recoil until almost empty; so just look down. ________________________________________________________________ Alternator (Light Ammo SMG): the hipfire is amazing with its non-existent recoil. Try to use this with moving and hip firing >Tap-fire for long-range hip-firing. >Highly recommend a 2x bruiser. >Use it as a R-99 attachment holder. 🔷Assault and Marksman Rifles R-301 (Light Ammo Assault Rifle): Minimal recoil. MInimal issues. The best standard F-auto >Swaps to single fire mode. Use to conserve ammo at long ranges if you know you won't hit every shot. _______________________________________________________________ Scout (Light Ammo Marksman): a fusion for an assault rifle and a sniper. Used to be considered a Light Ammo Sniper Rifle. >OUTDATED If you find a Double Tap Mod, it transforms the Scout from single fire to Dual Burst fire. If you hit both shots, it will equate to about >68 damage. >SEASON 8 CHANGES: Double Tap doesn't exist anymore. All I can say is that the 3x Ranger is probably the best scope for the Scout. _______________________________________________________________ Flatline (Heavy Ammo Assault Rifle): Swaps to single fire mode. It has better damage than the 301, but harder to control and slower fire. >Once you find the Anvil Receiver mod, this gun turns into a better Wingman. Swap to Single Fire to see the effects of the mod. _______________________________________________________________ Hemlock (Heavy Ammo Assault Rifle): Has two modes, 3 round burst, and single fire. Single fire is much easier for long-range, while burst does much more damage. > I recommend using the 3x Ranger Scope to do a single fire.
Havoc (Energy Assault Rifle): This has two modes, a charge shot and a full-auto. The charge shot sucks. Do not use! It's okay with a 2-4x ACOG scope, but don't use it frequently. Use full-auto unless it's super long range. Makes a cool sound though! UPDATE FOR S7! THEY HAVE REMOVED THIS OPTION. They might add it back in so I might keep this up. The Havoc doesn't have an alternative firing mode, so I'll give a new tip! The Havoc's recoil is very straight forward...or should I say straight up? This weapon is easy to get headshots with as its recoil is basically just up. ________________________________________________________________ 30-30(Heavy Ammo Marksman): This gun is the Heavy alternative to the Scout. And it's quite good as a mid-range weapon. This gun deals 35% more damage after 1 second when you aim down the sights. It is also weirdly good on one on one fights close range, as the new Shatter Caps mode introduced in S9, will turn this gun into a SHOTGUN. The main downside of this gun is that you reload one bullet at a time. So don't waste all the mag or you'll be reloading for quite a bit. ________________________________________________________________ The Bocek is a bow that is an excellent tool for poking enemies. It deals heavy damage, has high DPS with a hopup, and can be turned into a shotgun. It's weakness? Ammo caps. You cannot spam this easily as you'll run out of arrows quickly, so make every shot count. 1) You cannot equip the 2-4x scope on this, don't bother 2) You can pick up arrows that you missed and arrows that you hit will be in the enemies deathbox. 3) There is little drop on arrows midrange and closer, so don't worry about it. Long distances however.... 🔶Sniper Rifles Kraber (Care Package Sniper): Best sniper in the game, if you hit a headshot the person is dead. including Gibraltar. They have a unique sound. >If you hear this, take cover. I mean always if there's a sniper around, but when you hear this and you're in a bad spot, REALLY TAKE COVER. ________________________________________________________________ Triple Take (Energy Sniper Rifle) : a 3 barreled rifle that shoots three projectiles like a shotgun in a straight line at the same time. aptly named the secret shotgun, you can use it as a shotgun. Triple Take (choke) When it's on, it'll take time to combine the three shots into one powerful one. Enemies nearby can HEAR this clearly. You can still fire the weapon if it's not done charging. >Disable the choke for close range to cover the area while charge mode to do long-range. ________________________________________________________________ 🔷Shotguns ________________________________________________________________ Peacekeeper (Care Package Shotgun): This lever-action shotgun has a shot pattern of a star and has a square crosshair. Great for mid-range if you use the choke. >Great for finishing or engaging. >Always make sure your gun is surely ready. >Preload the next shot after you're done with your encounter. otherwise, you'll have to load the next shot. ________________________________________________________________ EVA-8 : A 12 gauge pump-Full Auto action; close to mid-range dependable powerhouse. its a fusion of a shotgun and a rifle. make sure you double up your ammo if you use it too much. >Its shot-pattern is an 8, try to aim for the body for maximum reliability. >Great for heavy suppression one target close range or dealing with more than one enemy as the mag size is quite large for a shotgun. EVA-8 (Modded) The Double Tap mod has been removed. However I argue that Single Fire is generally better as the clip of an EVA is 6. Use Dual Burst to do max damage when you don't have a bolt, but generally use Single Fire mode for everything else. _______________________________________________________________ Mastiff : This shotgun shoots its pellets in a straight horizontal line. To reduce the spread, aim down the sights. Hipfire with this lady should work well in point-blank. >shooting is slow so take care of your shots. ________________________________________________________________ Mozambique : The Pistol Shotgun >Aim down sights to choke the spread. best used with the HCOG Classic Mozambique Modded (Hammerpoint) HP damage - 100 HP if all your bullets hit THIS IS OUTDATED New Stats: Has 6 bullets per mag >Use it to finish someone with max health and has no shields. 🔶Pistols Wingman(Heavy Ammo Pistol): > Can open doors by shooting the handle. > Deals heavy damage (45 damage a bodyshot) per shot but punishing if you miss. > Suitable for close, medium and long distances. >Headshots are scary; ~90 per hit.
RE-45 (Light Ammo Pistol): > Small damage per shot. > Small clip size so find a mag > Not recommended to use without a mag, it's basically a weaker R99 ________________________________________________________________ P2020 (Light Ammo Pistol): A semi-automatic pistol that requires you to click at the speed of light. > Deals alright damage, 18 for a body shot. > Like the R45, it's outclassed by other weapons like the Scout in it's poking job. It's decent early game but do not stick with it late game 🛠️Attachments This section will discuss weapon attachments and some of the nuances they bring. Rarer doesn't mean better. This is the HCOG Classic, a very common sight. This HCOG is arguably one of the best sights for SMGs and even some LMGS and Assault Rifles. It's clean, allows you to see your surroundings, and is easily found most of the time. Now, let's look at different sights. This is a 1x-2x Variable sight and is rare. What this means is that it can swap modes to account for distance. But look at the design, it is much less clean and spatial aware than the HCOG. And what bonus did you get to trade for a worse design? The ability to zoom in by 1x. For an SMG, do you need to slightly zoom in a bit more? Stick with the HCOG Classic and Threat Sights for SMGs. This legendary sight only fits on SMGs, Shotguns, and Pistols. What it allows you to have heat-vision. Did someone toss a smoke grenade? Well, now you can aim down the sights and see them in a red outline. This mod is highly effective you have a Bangalore on your team, as her smoke now becomes an offensive weapon. However, its design makes it hard to be spatially aware. So sometimes it's worth using the Classic on weapons like Shotguns. Other than that, most mods are just straight upgrades to each other. Extended Magazines give you a bigger mag AND faster reloads. The only part of weapon modification is that you have to consider the sights. Choose what's best for you, not what's rarer. 💣Grenades It is highly recommended that you should at least carry 2-3 grenades. as they can change the tide of battle relatively easily. YOU DO NOT TAKE ANY DAMAGE FROM YOUR TEAMMATES GRENADES. For instance, if your teammate throws a thermite grenade, it creates a firewall. You can run through it no problem! Or an Arc Star blast. Work with teammates to make yourself untouchable. _________________________________________________________ Frag Grenades are best to throw into rooms or buildings, sometimes in the air for dirty plays > Use frags for thirsting, engaging, and retreating. If the enemy is distracted, throw the grenade then engage with them. As they start to fight you, they sometimes won't notice grenade beside them to fight you. This especially works if they are chasing you down. Hit damage: 10 HP Explosion damage: 100 HP ________________________________________________________________ Arc Stars are sticky grenades that will slow ANYONE DAMAGED down in their blast. So even if you miss it, it still can be useful! >Arc Stars are best thrown directly at people. >be still to be accurate with arc stars Hit damage: 30 HP Explosion damage: 70 HP ________________________________________________________________ Thermite creates a firewall. This wall is a line from left to right from your screen. >excellent for breaching doors, as they damage enemies behind them. >use them for campers, as they have to flee from damage over time. Hit damage: 0 HP 'Explosion' damage: 12 HP >Damage overtime is 12 per second. >Damage can stack, so fire away! ________________________________________________________________ Blast Doors Press the interact button to inject a grenade in to the blast doors for better loot. It contains weapons and a high chance for a Gold Magazine. Once one door has been blown open, you can open the other door without one.
Inventory Here are tips relating to inventory. We'll start off with a kinda subjective one. As you can see, my backpack is full, so I can't pick anything up. Now, how can we optimize this? Look at my ammo, I have two slots dedicated to just a pitiful amount of ammo. 3 and 12. Do I need these bullets? Will they make a difference? Not really, at least for me. So here's what I'd do. Boom, by removing those two tiny stacks of ammo, we gave ourselves two more slots. Now, I can carry more grenades or healing supplies. The tip here is to check your inventory and take any wastage items out. Most people ditch mods they won't use or a Phoenix kit, but ammo is harder to part with. Remember, 6 more shots aren't worth it most of the time. Gold Gear are items that you equip that have unique effects. Gold helmets decrease cooldown. Gold shields make it so small healing items (shield cells and syringes) give double their healing properties. Great for aggressive players Gold backpacks make it so when you revive a person, they come back with shields and HP. This is very good on Lifeline, Gib, and Mirage, as they have bonuses to revives. Gold knockdown shields make it so you can revive yourself! This works with the golden backpack. Try to use it while hidden and the enemy is busy. Octanes should never wear a Gold Helmet unless everyone else has one. He already has a super short cool-down. 🚗Vehicles Vehicles were introduced in Season 7 of Apex. It is called the Trident, but let's call it a car! They can hold up the entire squad and can boost by left clicking. This boost is on a cooldown. IF YOU DRIVE IT OFF A CLIFF, IT WILL EXPLODE AND LAUNCH YOU BACK TO LAND. 1) If you shoot the car but not the person riding it, you still do damage, to all passengers albeit greatly reduced. For snipers, you can easily chip away damage to the vehicle, forcing them to get out and heal. 2) The car can also be used as cover because if it's not used it's a solid wall(With holes underneath it). Use it to offer a little cover in open spaces. However, due to how small it is, be ready to get flanked; If you have no options, reposition with the trident 3) You can place your abilities on the car, from Gas traps to a MINIGUN. That's right, Rampart's minigun can turn the car into a tank. This quirk isn't unstoppable as explained in tip 1, however, it does take away the main problem of the minigun. The minigun stays in place and has a small range of view. Work with a Rampart if you want to go back to Halo CE driving a 'Puma'. Using right click will trigger a boost. this boost is quite useful for retreating or wanting to go fast. But if you boost at a certain angle, you will fly high. Formerly called trimping. Although limited. If you heard this before, then you know about demoknight TF2. 👥Legends This part is generic legend tips before the I start talking about about specific characters. By the way, legends are the playable characters in the game. ________________________________________________________________ 1) Two characters have the Fortified Trait, They are Gibraltar and Caustic . Keep this in mind as you fire on them. ________________________________________________________________ 2) Recon characters can ALL scan survey beacons. Not just Pathfinder, he just gets a bonus when he does it. So if you are Bloodhound or Crypto, use them. Please I'm begging you, they don't. ________________________________________________________________ 3) All legends move at the exact same speed. That's right, they all walk and run at the same speed. Unless they have modifiers like Revenant sneaking faster or Octane's drug sprinting, they will move all at the same speed. So if you play Caustic and feeling slow compared to Wraith, you're not slower. It's just the quirky visual trick. ________________________________________________________________ 4) Each legend costs 12,000 Legend Tokens. You earn 600 per level, so you get a new legend about every 20 levels. You can spend these tokens to reroll Battle Pass challenges and buy reskins(at times redesigns) as an included feature. Never ever buy them with Apex Coins, its so not worth it. Ever. ________________________________________________________________ After this section will be the DLT, Direct Legends Tips or Da Legend There Does... These types of tips are for everyone who should know these in their interactions with these characters ingame. I could make a detailed guide on how to play certain characters but not in this guide. We will cover Caustic, Pathfinder, Loba, and Rampart for now.
🤖LT: Pathfinder This is Pathfinder Pathfinder has a grappling hook they can use. Here are some things to note. 1) The grapple hook recharge time depends on how long you used it. For example, a short swing that sends you 5 meters will recharge way faster than if you swung for 20 meters. 2) Using a survey beacon will decrease your Ultimate cooldown and give you a full charge of your ultimate. Use them! 3) The grappling hook can grapple enemies. If you hit a foe with your grapple hook, you'll pull them towards you. YOU CANNOT USE GUNS WHILE USING THIS. Only do this if they are trying to escape, though it's not viable in one on one fights... 🗣️LT: Wraith Wraith is a character that has a tactical that makes her immune to all forms of damage, but she cannot use weapons and has a delay coming out of the void. Her ultimate ability is too create portals for her team, but others can use them too. 1) In-game there are gold magazines. They reload by themselves if you have your weapon not equipped and a certain amount of time passes. The time it takes for wraith to phase in and out is enough time for a gold magazine to reload. So you can empty your mag, phase, and have your gun reloaded automatically. This is useful if someone chased you while you phased and expected you to have your gun empty. 2) Portals will drop people off in the direction you place it in. To get easy kills, just go behind your portal and shooting people in the back when they come through it. This is useful if you know enemies will take your portal. 🏥LT: Lifeline This is Lifeline, a combat medic. First off, Lifeline can open BLUE loot bins' secret compartments. You'll notice them right away, and all you do is have to press E when you see them. Second, Lifeline's passive means she can AUTO REVIVE downed teammates. This is very good as it allows you to defend and fight back while the revive is going on. However, do NOT do this as soon as you can. Wait for your teammates crawl to cover or a spot so they won't be gunned down while reviving. Enemies will just kill anyone self reviving on sight if they aren't busy fighting you. ☣️LT: Caustic This is Caustic Here are tips for Caustic and dealing with them. 1) Your teammates do not get slowed in YOUR gas. So if you have a teammate who's a Caustic, you can run through their gas no problem. BUT watch out for other Caustics' gas. 2) Caustic's strength comes from slowing enemies to make them easy shooting targets, not his gas damage. Do not expect kills from gas, expect gas to help you secure kills with your gun. 3) You can place a trap in front of a door to prevent it being opened on it's side. Use it to block entry ways and limit enemy movement. You are the Toxic Trapper, so trap people when you can. 4) Your gas isn't like smoke, and people don't have too much issue seeing through it. Don't depend on it as a visual shield. 5) Traps can be destroyed by shooting them at the metal base. This works always unless the trap is active and spewing gas. Then it CANNOT be destroyed and have to wait out the duration.
6) Caustics are IMMUNE to each other's gas. Therefore, as a caustic, your priority is to kill all other caustics. So, if you're playing Caustic, remember you can go through any gas and suffer no consequences. 💅LT: Loba This is Loba, introduced in Season 5 Loba's tactical is throwing a bracelet that will make her teleport to it on landing. Her ultimate is a black market shop that allows you to loot a large area from one place. 1) Her ULT allows her to loot any object in an area by setting up a black market. Now you can only grab two items from the black market; after that, you have to loot manually. However, ammo doesn't count. For instance, you need light ammo for an SMG you picked up. So you set up a black market; you can take all 300 Light ammo in the area without wasting your two chances for instant loot. So you can spend these two chances of getting something useful. So when you see a black market, don't be afraid to take ammo! 2) Her tactical is to teleport; when in use, you cannot use your guns. Even when you do teleport, you have a moment where you cannot use your guns. So do not use it while in the middle of the fight. Use it for retreating, getting into hard of reach places, and flanking. 🛡️LT: Rampart This is Rampart, introduced in Season 6 Rampart is a defensive character that can build amp walls. As they can make your shots deal more damage while protecting you from enemy fire. Her ultimate is using a minigun to do what a minigun does. Brrrrrrrrrrrr.....Ping! 1) Rampart can place amp walls. Now the walls take some time to build, and during that time; any damage dealt to it will destroy it immediately; So if you see her building a couple of walls, just fire a couple of shots at it and poof, it's gone and wasted. After it is finished building, be careful of grenades as they deal double damage to them. If they are not damaged yet, they can be picked up and replenish 1 of your tactical*. Neat! *(exept enemy walls.) 2) Her ULT, the minigun Shelia, is statistically the most powerful gun in the game with it's large magazine size. when mobile, be sure to jump and Pre-spin Shelia in or near corners so your enemies will have quite the surprise; Use it carefully due to the fact that enemies will retreat to the noise of a revving death machine. when the ammo runs dry, or using your utility button, you can place the minigun; making it stationary and has a limited view. But the cool thing to know is that it now has unlimited ammo reserves, so you can reload forever! So don't be afraid to suppress enemies because you technically have unlimited ammo. 3) Shelia can destroy doors, so you can shoot at a door to destroy it, shocking the person hiding behind it. scary! 📼LT: Fuse This is Fuse, introduced in Season 8 Fuse is a character that is all about making things blow up. His tactical is a cluster grenade that will deny an area for a while. His ultimate is a mortar strike of fire, making a ring of fire and trapping those within. His passive allows him to hold double the amount of grenades as well. 1) Don't always use your Tactical mid-gunfight. The reason why is that the Tactical is on your right hand, the hand you use to hold your gun. So when you use it, you won't hold your weapon but be aiming your ability. This is different than Revenant's and Bangalore's tactical, which they can use while holding their guns. This is important, as having your gun away pretty much insures you'll die. Do it when someone is not firing at you, because if you do it while they can hit you, it will not go well. So just remember to treat it like an actual grenade, not free damage. 2) You can stick enemies with your tactical, dealing damage over time and tracking them via damage numbers. This can be very useful and they can damage their teammates if they are close to them.
LT: Valkyrie This is Valkyrie, introduced in Season 9 Valk is a very strong character with her kit, with her passive being a whole ability within itself. 1) Your passive drains fuel, and restarting it will take even more fuel. However, restarting your passive gives you a speed boost. Now flying is kinda a bad idea in the open sky, as you aren't moving fast enough to dodge bullets. Use it to scale buildings, cross gaps, or keep up your speed. YOU CANNOT ATTACK WHILE FLYING and it takes a while to put away before you can shoot again. 2) Your tactical is like a free arc star. Use it to punish and push enemies OUTDOORS. Indoors it won't work, or worse, hit yourself. It deals not a lot of damage. What matters is slowing down enemies heavily in an area. 3) You can turn around in your ultimate. So if you have a teammate stuck in the ring taking damage as you are in the edge, just rotate man. 🤼Legend Combos This section is about what legends work well together and how their abilities can synergize. So if you want to work together with your friends, here's a quick explanation. 1) Caustic and any Legend that limits movement(Horizon, Fuse, Gibby) Caustic gas can be extremely lethal due to the constant slow effect (which makes easy kills), but people can run away from it. What if you made it so they can't? Here's where these three legends come in. Horizon can launch a mini blackhole. Those stuck inside are a prime target for Caustic's gas as they try to escape the black hole. Fuse can launch a mortar strike and creates a bloody ring of fire mate. Give them the choice of running through the flames or choke to death. Pretty gnarly combo eh? Gibby can target an area for a missile barrage. Unlike Fuse, this is just creating an area of pure damage. The combo here is to use Gibby's ULT on a small building, then tossing Caustic's gas inside. The enemy has to decide do they want to die to gas or missiles that are raining down on their house. This tactic doesn't work outside. 2) Bloodhound and Bangalore Explained in their DLT section, but a Bloodhound ULTing gets a huge advantage if their team's Bang launches smoke. 3) Wattson and Caustic Wattson's ULT makes Caustic's greatest weakness, grenades, go away. If you want to hold a position, these two fellas will be your go to. 4) Revenant and Octane Revenant has his ultimate, a totem that brings you back to it once you are killed in Shadow mode. Now there is no range for it, so to make it better, have an Octane in your team to use their jump pad. Once your team is in Shadow mode, use the pad to ambush a squad. Once you are down, all of you will return safely to the totem in the distance, not nearby. This is basically a free push, abuse it before it's patched. More will be added 💢Combo: Bangalore and Bloodhound ________________________________________________________________ This is Bangalore (Left) and Bloodhound (Right) ________________________________________________________________ Bangalore has the ability to toss smoke grenades, it will look like this. Smoke is highly versatile. It can deny an open battlefield or chokepoint by clouding the enemies' vision. You can use it as a decoy/distraction or an escape plan. BUT, keep in mind when and where you use your tactical, as other players can use the smoke against you. Remember: Trust only your eyes and you'll lose; when in smoke. Listen where and shoot. _______________________________________________________________ When a Bloodhound ULTs, they get these red glowing eyes. These mean that they now have heatvision and move much faster. They can see your tracks and will hunt you down. You will hear a roar when they activate it. They also have black and white vision now. __________________________________________________________ Here is a video that will let you hear the roar the Bloodhound will do when they use their ULT. Remember this sound as usually you'll hear it way before you see them.
Now that you are aware of this, here is the problem with being Bangalore against Bloodhound while they are in ULT mode. This. They can now see you through your smoke no problem. Remember when I said it was balanced in that while your enemies can't see you, but you can't see them? Well now you have literally no advantage. The tip is, NEVER EVER USE SMOKE IF THEIR BLOODHOUND IS USING THEIR ULT. You will put your team at a disadvantage. ________________________________________________________________ You might think, wait? If I have a Bloodhound and a Bangalore on my team....can I...? Yes! Work with your Bangalore to launch smoke at enemies. They will be blinded. Then your Bloodhound ults. Congratulations, you have given your team a big advantage in pushing. While this is very viable and works, don't expect randoms to do the strategy. ________________________________________________________________ So what was the point of this Some characters are each other's counter, but they also can work together for a lethal outcome. As a Bangalore, keep track of the Bloodhound and their ULT. Be careful to use smoke if you see one. As a Bloodhound, your ULT makes Bangalore's ability practically useless. 🏟️ Arenas Arena is the gamemode introduced in Season 9. Instead of a BR, it is two teams of 3 duking it out in an arena. It has a currency mechanic and rounds. You buy your supplies, guns, and abilities. The first and most important type for Arena's to buy heals. Now if you buy them, you should use them as you don't keep them from round to round. The heals you have per match is limited, so beware of tanking damage. Grenades you buy won't be carried over into the next round, so use those as well if you buy them. If you buy heals or grenades and the round ends before you use them, they are gone. In the map, you will find these canisters of materials. These when interacted will give currency for you to use in the next round. If you are a movement based character (Octane and Pathfinder especially), go around the map and collect these before the enemy team does. By doing this, you are limiting their budget while greatly expanding yours. Materials can win you fights as you can buy more heals and outlast them in chipping away their supplies. You can also buy more of your abilities, and even your ultimate, without any sacrifice to gun upgrades and healing supplies. You can actually change your optics for free in the store. The more you upgrade your gun, the more options you have to choose. Lifelines should buy the Golden Backpack as it gives people they revive shields and HP when brought back. This can be extremely useful. 💬Lingo These are nice terms/words to know for the game. Healing Popping: Verb for use, using ex. I'm Popping a Pheonix! Pheonix : This big black battery heals full shields and health! although they're pretty slow to use. Meds, med :short for medication-Related to Health. Spike: slang for syringe. Bat, Battery : heals full shields. Cell : Energy Cell, heals one bar of shields Legend nicknames Path/Pathy: Short for Pathfinder -Wraith coined the term in-game season 3, Fight or Fright trailer. Gibby: Short for gibraltar -Gibbeh! BH: Bloodhound Rev: Revenant Tactical Cracked : When someone says this, they typically mean they broke someone's shields. Flesh: Someone's HP, typically when they say this it means they have more than 50% HP. If it's below 50% then they will say Low instead. Low : if someone says this, it means the person they were firing at is almost dead. Most times, they are lying. Never, ever expect them to be low! If they are....wow. That like never happens! Rez : Respawn or revive a fallen teammate.
Miscellanious DC: Short for DisConnected. ex, aw man that TTV wraith just dc'ed. come on. TTV : If you see a TTV on a username, it means they're a twitch streamer or a streamer in general. They are almost always Wraiths. If they are a Wraith, they have a high chance to being mean and disconnecting the instant they are knocked down. If they aren't a Wraith, they tend to be nicer... ex TTV.brandonlopez.2003 Ring : The Ring is the damaging effect that pushes everyone together, basically the Storm from Fortnite. Some use Storm, some use Ring. Just know they are the same thing. Jumpmaster : The one who will launch the squad Tower/Balloon : Towers/Ballons are the weird ziplines hanging in the air by a big balloon. Ziplining on one and reaching the top makes you able to glide where you want to go. It basically allows you to 'rejump' like from the start. 😈Etiquette Professionals have standards Be Polite Says so in the title :D Don't leave when you are down. Don't leave when you're dead and your banner is still able to be picked up. Don't spam. Don't grab things people have called dibs on. Don't hoard, share! Be Efficient When your teammate kills someone, do not loot who they killed until they have done so. When your shield is down, sometimes it's better to pick one off the ground instead of repairs. When your teammate is dead, grab their banner. When your ULT is ready, tell your team. When your teammate is too far away from the team, wait for them, usually. When your teammate has a gold back-pack, let them rez! When you collect a teammates banner, don't loot their box. Unless for heals, then it's acceptable. Have a Plan to Ping Everything You meet Except loot. In mid-game or late-game, the squad has mostly what they need. So then ping only what they need or asked for. 🍻Conclusion Finished reading have ya? Well thank you then. I just hope it helps you becoming the champion you are hopefully destined to be. Good thing you met me before you died out in the games. Now I'll just finish my drink...and you should enjoy yourself while it lasts. GOOD LUCK OUT THERE PILOT, THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN BORN FOR.
