Increasing performance in ELDEN RING by enabling high priority automatically

Changing the priority of a program in task manager typically allows better performance. Easy Anti Cheat does not allow you to change the priority of the game, this is how to get around that Introduction Most people know that if you go into your task manager you can click on details right click a game a change the priority of the game to high. This gives that game priority to system resources which typically increases performance. So why am I making this guide you may be asking? Well its because easy anti cheat doesn't let you modify that. So this is a guide to have windows automatically change it for you. Please know that while this typically increases performance its only stop gap and it wont be a cure all solution. This game needs major performance tuning and external changes can only help so much Open Regedit Hit the windows button type regedit and hit enter. Navigate to the following When Regedit opens you want to navigate to the following path Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options Create a new key Once you are at the Image File Execution folder you want to right click the folder and click New > Key a new key will be created and you want to name it "eldenring.exe". The reason you are naming it that is because you want it to match the game executable in this case its "eldenring.exe" but this process can be done for any other program. Create a new sub key Once you have a key called "eldenring.exe" made you want to right click on it and create another key. Right click "eldenring.exe"> click new>Key name that new key "PerfOptions" Create new DWORD 32bit You want to select the newly created "PerfOptions" and right click it and select New> DWORD 32bit and name it "CpuPriorityClass". Once its been created you want to open it and change the value to 3 and make sure Hexadecimal is selected. what CpuPriorityClass values mean 3 is equal to "High" priority, if you desire to set something else, this is the table: 1 Idle 2 Normal 3 High 4 RealTime (Seriously do not use) 5 Below Normal 6 Above Normal. IMPORTANT: 4 (RealTime) should NEVER be used as it will result into system instability. Verify that it worked Everything should be all set. In order to confirm it worked you can start the game then open your task manger go to details right click eldenring.exe click on priority and it should now say high
